Eli’s coming. A storm approaches in this underexposed iPhone photo. Who’s Eli? It’s a song by Three Dog Night. I made a short video with the phone which will play part of the song.

What does the song have to do with this stormy image? It reminds me of some dialog from a TV show I used to watch, called “Sports Night”. For those curious:

Dan Rydell: Eli’s Coming.
Casey McCall: Eli?
Dan Rydell: From the Three Dog Night song.
Casey McCall: Yes?
Dan Rydell: Eli is something bad, a darkness.
Casey McCall: “Eli’s coming. Hide your heart, girl.” Eli is a inveterate womanizer. I think you’re getting the song wrong.
Dan Rydell: I know I’m getting the song wrong. But, when I first heard it, that’s what I thought it meant. Things stick with you that way.

The video will be uploaded just as soon as I reboot my Mac. I haven’t done that in a long time, and I need to fiddle with some software that I just updated which requires  a reboot. I’m also not sure how this video uploading thing will work. But for now, enjoy the underexposed stormy image.

UPDATE: Here’s the video, finally.
