Playing around with an iPhone app that I like, but that apparently doesn’t save images very large! Not happy about that. It’s called Cartoonatic and it does video too [kinda like that old Ah Ha video].
Back to Bridgestone

Finally found and bought [via mail order!] some new Bridgestone tyres for my Mazda 323. It’s about time! I’ve missed not having Bridgestones on my car, as I’ve had amazing luck with that company, so I’m sticking with them.
Country Commute

Yes, my photos of the days are still lacking, as this one shows. This is a shot of Mac OS X complaining that for the 7th time during the day, the iMac is running on backup battery. This happens nearly 10 times a day while working on my iMac and this dumb pop up window comes up and interrupts my work. My battery backup beeps for a few seconds, then power is restored, but this window remains on my desktop until I dismiss it. There is no preference to keep this thing from popping up. Back in Leopard, this didn’t happen, but in Snow Leopard, you get a popup that reminds me of having to use someone else’s Windows XP, Vista or Win7 computer with pop up alerts telling you way more things than you need to know.
ColecoVision from the Past

A trip to Charlotte, NC for business ended up going fairly well. On the way back, I stopped in Shelby, NC and found a shop with this old 8-bit video game system – a ColecoVision! I never owned one [i had the IntelliVision by Mattel and a friend of mine had the Atari 2600], but I did have a friend who did so I’d sometimes play games on his. Of the 3 systems, the graphics on the ColecoVision were the best, but it was also the highest price of the 3 too!
I didn’t end up buying it, as I have no games for it, but it reminded me that on a cold winter day it would be nice to get my old IntelliVision II out and play some MLB Baseball or some RiverRaid! 
The Machine’s View?
Yeah, only one snapshot taken today – was a bit too busy, sadly enough, to take a real photo. 
But I do like seeing the world through a fisheye. I imagine this ATM might see me in a similar fashion, with its hidden camera.
Oh Deer
Due to the harsh [for western North Carolina] winter we had, there has been an abundance of salt left on the gravel driveway. And apparently deers love that salt, as we have a nearly daily visitor come by to lick as much as he/she can. For about 15 minutes, I was able to capture 98 shots, taken just 28 feet away from the deer [through the window in the garage door]. I posted my favorite 5 on both my White Squirrel Photography site [which is in major need of major changes!] linked below as well as my Flickr site. Hope you like them!

An Olloclip close-up/macro shot of a small bottle of shampoo from Super 8 Motel. Grabbed from my 2010 Spring trip cross country – I think I stayed at about 25 of those Super 8s last Spring. I miss it!
Rocky Joins the Fun
So July 25th’s photo of the day was a combined shot of Roland and Shadow, but I left out Rocky! So on the 26th, I had to capture her through the fisheye lens of an Olloclip lens accessory for the iPhone. I don’t think she would like this shot of her very much! Thankfully she rarely browses Flickr and my vjl365 site.
